We’re glad you’re here.

Sunday worship is all about Jesus.

Details

Saint John gathers at 1810 Campbell Street Suite 200 in historic Findlay Market. We meet at 10:00am on Sundays.

We worship together and usually get a meal afterward. All are welcome. We would love to know that you’re coming. You can contact us here.

Parking

The closest parking lot to our space is the Findlay Parking Lot on the corner of Central and W Elder. St John validates parking for visitors and guests for this lot. There are also two paylots on Dunlap Street and Findlay Market has its own outdoor pay lot. Street parking is free in the Findlay Market area until 2pm. You can find street parking around the market on streets like Central, W Elder, Elm, and Race.

What to expect

We really want you to come and see what’s happening at St John. Here’s a few things you should know about our worship when you’re planning your visit:

We’re a church plant

As a church plant we are small but growing. We have very few of the things that established churches have. We don’t have big volunteer teams. We don’t have a big production. We don’t have a lengthy or complicated service. But we have a lot of things that established churches don’t have. We have room to grow. We have space to be known and seen. We have room to belong. We have a need for you and your gifts. Do you want to be part of building something new? St John is the place for you.

Kids are part of it

We value children participating in worship and we view them as a desired distraction. We do offer kids programming during the service for children ages 2-7. But we also make space for our kids to participate in our worship gathering for families who desire this. We welcome their presence, we provide activities for those who need them, and we’re not bothered by the noise. If you are a first time visitor with kids, someone will greet you and help you get your kids signed in for our kids church. St John is a place for your kids.

It’s participatory

Our worship includes liturgical elements that has the congregation reciting written prayers together, reading ancient creeds, and singing hymns. We believe that worship is what all of God’s people do together. If you don’t know what to do, don’t worry! We are always letting people know what’s happening next in the service and we welcome people who’ve never been in church before. St John is a place you can participate.

It’s accessible

We believe that all people are called to worship God. This means people who have been in the church for a long time but also people who are new to church and new to Jesus. We don’t assume that you’re familiar with anything and do our best to always be orienting people and explaining what’s happening in understandable ways. St John is a place for you and your neighbor.

It’s simple

We keep our service short and sweet - usually 60 minutes. This helps us make space for spending time together afterward. Is your life complicated and you need a simple way to connect to God? St John is for you.

What to wear

There is no dress code nor standard dress at St John. Some will be wearing casual attire. Others will be wearing work clothes. Some like to dress in their Sunday best. Wear whatever you’re comfortable in.
